AUSTIN (KXAN) – During the month of January, the state comptroller’s office will conduct 16 free taxpayer seminars across the state for business owners.

Taxpayers can learn how to properly fill out sales tax forms, filing and paying taxes electronically and e-services to help taxpayers manage their accounts online. Comptroller representatives will be available to answer questions and provide assistance to attendees.

“We want to empower Texas business owners by making resources and information accessible. Conducting these seminars and making our team of tax specialists available provides much needed expert guidance,” said Comptroller Susan Combs. “A strong and diverse business community is the key to Texas’ long-term economic strength.”
