The American Flag is a symbol of one nation, under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all.
Saturday, June 14 is Flag Day, a day that is celebrated by proudly flying a flag to represent the United States. On May 30, 1916, President Woodrow Wilson signed a proclamation to commemorate the anniversary of the Flag Resolution of 1777. Although Flag Day was celebrated in some communities, in 1949, President Harry Truman signed an Act of Congress designating June 14 Flag Day.
