On Flag Day, June 14, the Taylor Boy Scout Troop 167 will conduct a flag retirement at the American Legion in Murphy Park.
One of the oldest troops in Texas, the members of 167 have been entrusted to properly retire flags that are no longer in condition to be on display. Major, USAF, Recruiting Officer Walter L. Lee explained that scouts have been trained for this special event.
