AUSTIN (KXAN) – Austin police are investigating a shooting that sent one man to the hospital with life-threatening injuries on Friday afternoon.

Police said they received a call to assist around 4:45 p.m. at a gas station on the corner of Oltorf Street and Burleson Road in South Austin.

When officers got there, there was a man that had several gunshot wounds. It is unclear if the victim was dropped off at this location or if he drove himself to the location.

Preliminary information indicates the shooting might have happened at a nearby apartment complex.
