RRISD Leadership Institute applications now open

Leadership Academy-01The Round Rock ISD Leadership Institute is now accepting applications for its Team One 3.0 and RRock Star University cohorts for the 2016-2017 school year.

Teachers and staff who aspire to be assistant principals are invited to apply for RRock Star University, and current assistant principals who strive to become principals are invited to apply for Team One 3.0.

Both programs offer an opportunity for Round Rock ISD employees to develop skills needed to succeed in a leadership role. Participants will be selected for each rigorous leadership training with a goal to build a strong base of individuals prepared to become the next generation of visionary servant campus leaders in the district.

Application guidelines for both cohorts are listed below:

RRock Star University

  • Apply by sending a resume that shows three to five years classroom teaching experience,
  • a letter of interest indicating why the candidate is pursuing RRock Star University and describing the candidate’s strengths and weaknesses and
  • two letters of recommendation, including your current supervisor, to Kristan Davis at kristan_davis@roundrockisd.org.
  • Applicants must also submit an online administrative application through the RRISD Employment Center. Applications must be submitted by 5 p.m. September 14, 2016.
  • Applicants must be a current RRISD employee and have a mid-management or Principal Certification by May 2017.

Team One 3.0

  • Apply by sending a resume highlighting the candidate’s professional experiences and
  • a letter of interest indicating why the candidate is pursuing Team One 3.0 and describing the candidate’s strengths and weaknesses to Margarita Marion at margarita_marion@roundrockisd.org.
  • Applicants must also submit an online administrative application through the RRISD Employment Center. Applications must be submitted by 5 p.m. September 14, 2016.
  • Applicants must be a current RRISD assistant principal or instructional coach and have a mid-management or Principal Certification by May 2017.

The two-step application process includes the written application as well as a secondary online interview. Applicants will be notified regarding the online interview by September 19. Final notification for accepted applicants will be September 30.
