Lora Weber named chair for the upcoming year

ROUND ROCK, Texas – The Round Rock Chamber of Commerce Economic Development Partnership announced today its 2014 – 2015 board of directors. In addition, the chamber revealed the organization’s slate of officers and-vice chairs for the next year. Lora Weber, of MaggieMoo’s Ice Cream and Treatery, has been selected as the board’s chairperson.

“After being a part of the Chamber for many years and serving on the Board for four years, I look forward to serving our investors in this new capacity,” incoming Board Chair Lora Weber said. “I also look forward to working with these great board members and Chamber staff as we continue to focus on business issues and solutions that improve Round Rock’s economy, community, and overall quality of life.”

The incoming officers are:

The chamber recently transitioned from an October through September fiscal year to a January through December one. As such, the term of the newly selected board of directors will serve for fifteen months instead of the traditional twelve.

“The next fifteen months is shaping up to be a meaningful and exciting one for the chamber and the Round Rock business community, so it is reassuring that we have such a dynamic and experienced board in place,” said Mike Odom, President and CEO of the Round Rock Chamber of Commerce Economic Development Partnership.  “We are looking forward to producing the results that our investors expect from our organization.”
