Cooler, wet weather returns

Yet another late spring storm system is expected to bring rain and lower temperatures today – both will be welcome as Central Texas struggles to overcome extended drought.
Last week’s rains brought total rainfall for the month up to just over two inches, higher than the 1.17-inch normal for the first half of April, according to Taylor Texas Weather Network. At 8.16 inches for the year, total rainfall is still running behind the normal year-to-date total of 9.74 inches.
