TISD approves price tag for Main Street Campus project

The old Taylor High School on Main Street is currently undergoing a transformation into the Main Street Campus, which will include an intermediate campus, auditorium and technology hub among other features. The intermediate campus portion of the project is slated to be completed by or before August in time for the start of school in the fall.

Work to transform the old Taylor High School building on Main Street has begun. The facility will be transformed into the Main Street Campus complete with an intermediate campus, an auditorium and a technology hub among other features. The intermediate campus portion of the project is slated to be completed in time for the start of school in the fall. The purpose of the intermediate campus is to solve overflow problems at other Taylor ISD schools.

At its special board meeting on Feb. 27, the Taylor ISD school board approved a guaranteed maximum price (GMP) of $5,525,207 for the construction of the Main Street Campus Renovation project.
This allows the project to move forward and for those involved to work toward completing the intermediate campus portion of the project in time for the start of the new school year.
