Imagine someone telling you that 9/11 never happened. How would that make you feel? That’s what Holocaust deniers tell the victims of the tragic event that changed the course of history.
Texas author D.E. Cummings asked 8th graders to ponder this and other critical questions during her visit to the Taylor Middle School library on Friday. She visited with the school’s eldest grade during their language arts classes. She talked about the Holocaust resistance and her book, “Knights of Warsaw,†a historical fiction, which follows the story of a Jewish teen girl who becomes a smuggler of food and weapons.
