A donated playscape continues to cause a stir in Granger and has prompted councilors to hold a third meeting—this time behind closed doors. Upon hearing that the unmaintained playscape would either be returned to the donor or demolished, several members of the community offered their help to save it but it may have been too late.

On Oct. 15, a week after councilors set an Oct. 20 deadline to either complete the playscape project or return it to the donor, they opted to send it back to the donor. A resident sent a photo to the Taylor Daily Press that showed what little—a kiddie train—remained of the playscape as of 5 p.m. on Oct. 17.
