Motorcylist, 24, dies in wreck

SAN MARCOS, Texas (KXAN) – A 24-year old Wimberley man died Thursday evening after he lost control and was thrown off the motorcycle he was driving on Sessom Drive just west of North LBJ.

Bobby Harrison Salmons was pronounced dead after being transported to Central Texas Medical Center.

Police Sgt. Chris Tureaud said the wreck occurred around 6:55 p.m. Salmons was traveling westbound on Sessom Drive. After going through the intersection at North LBJ, he lost control, struck a curb and left the roadway where he was ejected from the motorcycle, police said.

The San Marcos Police Department is continuing its investigation.

This was the fifth fatal traffic wreck in San Marcos this year.
