AUSTIN (KXAN) – The Lady Bird Lake boardwalk trail project team released additional artist’s renderings to the trail Tuesday

“The new renderings generally reflect the trail design but are not precise in detail and the deck color has been changed to more of an earth color tan,” said David Kim Taylor, the project manager.

This Boardwalk Trail project will eliminate the less safe detour onto a busy section of Riverside Drive sidewalk including the Interstate Highway 35 intersection. The pictures show the proposed boardwalk over the water, completing the loop around Lady Bird Lake.

If the council approves the contract construction on Thursday, then construction will begin in August and is estimated to be completed by February 2014.
