Another arrest in Travis Country death

AUSTIN (KXAN) – A 22-year-old man who police said agreed to burn the house and car of a man who was killed in Southwest Austin on Sunday has been charged in an arrest warrant affidavit with felony arson charge.

Police said Dominic Wilson agreed to have the fires set to help cover up the shooting death of Omar Azmitia-Hernandez, 22, whose body was found in the back of a pickup in Blue Valley park.

Earlier this week, police arrested 22-year-old Dario Donahue Ballard II, Azmitia-Hernandez’s roommate, on a murder charge .

Police said they linked Ballard to the death through a third roommate whose truck was used to take the dead man’s body to Blue Valley Park.

According to police, Ballard contacted Wilson after Azmitia-Hernandez’s body was left in the park and offered to give him $500 and an AK-47 to burn the house and car. Police said Wilson then sub-contracted the job three others, whose names were not released.

Bail for Wilson is set at $150,000.
