DALE, Texas (KXAN) – A young mother was hit by stray gunfire in Dale Saturday morning as she changed her baby in her own house.

A neighbor heard the gunfire around 9:30 a.m. According to police, a bullet came through the wall of the home and hit the 30-year-old victim, who was changing her baby’s diaper at the time.

She was treated and released from a local hospital. Four young men were arrested in charges of deadly conduct. KXAN News will have more in our newscasts at 9 p.m. and 10 p.m.

Dale is in Bastrop County, 35 miles southeast of Austin.
