Commissioner Valerie Covey, Precinct 3, will host a groundbreaking for Ronald Reagan Boulevard Phase 4 on Thursday, May 10, at 10 a.m.  The ceremony will be held at the northern end of the project in Jarrell at the bend in CR 237, less than half a mile west of IH-35.

Ronald Reagan Phase 4 extends from SH 195 to CR 237, approximately 6 miles.  The roadway construction consists of two lanes with shoulders, of an ultimate four-lane divided rural roadway.  The project was designed by AECOM, and Ranger Excavating is the contractor.  The cost of construction is $14 million paid for by voter approved road bonds in 2006.  The project is expected to be completed in 16 months.
