AUSTIN (KXAN) – The U.S. Postal Service will provide city officials with a timetable next week for replacing the Downtown Austin station.

The plan will be presented to the City Council on Jan. 12, between 10 a.m. and noon at City Hall.

The Postal Service announced, on Dec.13, the pending sale of the property at 510 Guadalupe St., to Andrews Urban and Atlanta-based Novare Group.

A 15-day public comment period will follow this presentation and the public may submit their written questions and comments to:
