At Thursday’s Granger ISD Board of Trustees meeting, the
district moved one step closer to receiving a grant that would
provide children with safer routes to school.

After hearing a presentation by Scott Murrah, a Granger resident
and employee of Municipal Consulting Group, LLC, on a Safe Routes
to School grant that the district had an opportunity to apply for
last month, the board voted unanimously Thursday for the district
to pledge $2,500 to pay to Murrah’s company in order to make the
grant happen.
