This year for Constitution Week, September 17-24, YAL encouraged chapters to build “Free Speech Walls” to promote one of our most cherished civil liberties that the 1st Amendment protects.  This activism idea was pioneered by the YAL chapter at the University of Texas-San Antonio, and in turn 77 YAL chapters across the nations sought to replicate UTSA’s success.

We are proud to announce that Texas Young Americans for Liberty with the help of Libertarian Longhorns were able to receive 1st place in the 2011 Constitution Week Activism Contest! We were awarded a $500 activism grant for our efforts.

What a great way to start the activism year off!!
