HUTTO — The Hutto Entrepreneurs Small Business Academy held a graduation ceremony Dec. 12 to celebrate the completion of its inaugural class.

The 10-week program was designed to help those interested in starting a business or existing business owners to develop and enhance their business plans.

Funded by the Hutto Economic Development Corp., the program was created through a partnership between the Hutto Economic Development Corp. and Temple College.

“We understand the importance of small businesses to the community, and we wanted to give them the tools to conduct their business to the best of their ability,” HEDC Marketing Director Seanna Roysden said.

Over the 10-week course, the program’s eight students studied topics ranging from exploring entrepreneurship and researching the market to planning a profitable business and implementing a business plan.

The HEDC is exploring opportunities to host the program again in the future. For more information, visit www.huttoedc.com.
