The Williamson County Commissioners Court selected D. Scott Heselmeyer to fill the position of county treasurer until the next General Election in November 2018. Jerri Jones, the current county treasurer, recently accepted the appointment to become the county auditor.

Mr. Heselmeyer is a real estate attorney in Round Rock and has been a practicing attorney in the county for the past 13 years. He also serves on the board of the Williamson County Livestock Association, the CHASCO Family YMCA Board, and is general counsel for the Round Rock Chamber of Commerce.

“I am excited about the opportunity to serve as Williamson County treasurer and honored to have been chosen to fill this role,” said Heselmeyer.  “Jerri Jones has done an outstanding job, and as she transitions to the County Auditor position, she is leaving the treasurer’s office in excellent shape.  I look forward to working with Jerri, the Commissioners Court, and leaders throughout the county as part of a team striving to provide effective, efficient service to the citizens and taxpayers of Williamson County.”

Mr. Heselmeyer is a graduate of Texas AM University and attended law school at Georgetown University in Washington D.C. He is a long-time Williamson County resident having graduated from Thrall High School. He and his wife, Amanda, have two children, Kirsten and Preston, and are members of the Hill Country Bible church in Georgetown.
