AUSTIN (KXAN) – In December, Lake Travis Middle School and Lake Travis High School were placed on lockdown when a custodian at the middle school said she saw an armed person on campus.

One month later, Lake Travis I.S.D. said they have concluded their investigation and that there was no evidence to substantiate the claim.

LTISD said they dismissed the custodian – who made the claim – on Friday.

A letter was sent home to parents about the District’s decision.

The letter did indicate that while the District’s investigation is complete, the Travis County Sheriff’s office will continue to investigate the incident.
