Presidential Candidate Austin Petersen Says He’s the “Bernie Sanders and Barack Obama” of the Libertarian Party

Is there much of a difference between Cruz and Rubio? Both are hawks

lol

its sort of like when you talk to super-liberals, there’s only 2 flavors of Republican = Far Right, and Extreme-Far-Right?

when libertarians talk about anyone’s foreign policy comments, they’re basically either “interventionists”, or “hawkish neocon interventionists”

Back in December, Jonathan Chait parsed the subtle-differences in the Cruz v. Rubio manner of Tough-Talking.

The nut of it is that Cruz speaks about use-of-force largely in a ‘reactionary’ context (i.e. ‘We respond when we’re attacked; we destroy discrete threats’) while criticizing people who talk about “making the world safe for democracy” or trying to engineer world-affairs.

Its all bullshit really. If you run for president in the GOP, you are inevitably going to brag about how you’ll bomb the shit about someone. It says absolutely nothing about what a person’s actual foreign policy thinking is, and everything about what the GOP thinks their voters respond well to.
