On Tuesday, the Williamson County Commissioners Court approved proceeding with issuance of certificates of obligation not to exceed $70 million. The final adoption of the order will come on May 5, 2015, after a 30-day period when the notice to issue the certificates of obligation will be posted in the newspaper twice. During that time, the public is invited to attend the Commissioners Court meetings on Tuesdays to voice their opinions during the public comment time at the start of the meeting. Meetings are held on Tuesdays at 9:30 a.m. in the Commissioners Courtroom on the second floor of the historic county courthouse in Georgetown, 710 S. Main Street, Georgetown.
The Williamson County Commissioners Court has been discussing the county’s facility needs and developing a Capital Improvement Projects Plan to address more immediate needs over the next three to five years. Items discussed include new buildings for training for the Sheriff’s Office and EMS as well as new office space and renovations to older buildings.
Information on the Capital Improvement Projects Plan can be found on the county’s website at www.wilco.org/cip. Written comments may be sent to publicinformation@wilco.org .
