Max R. Bricka has been named the purchasing director for Williamson County. He will begin in his new position on January 26, 2015. Previously, Mr. Bricka worked as purchasing manager, materials manager, senior commodity manager and senior buyer in several manufacturing industries as well as leadership positions in several non-profit organizations. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in business management from Eckerd College in Florida.

The purchasing director directs and manages county-wide procurement functions to assure legal compliance with federal, state, and county policies, regulations, and procedures while obtaining the best value for the county. The Williamson County purchasing director supervises seven employees.

“I am thrilled about the opportunity to serve Williamson County by working closely with Judge Gattis and the county commissioners,” said Bricka. “Serving one of the fastest growing counties in the nation will be a new and exciting challenge.  I look forward to adding a fresh perspective and diligently providing excellent service for all departments and residents of the county.”
