Man jailed after threatening officers

A Cameron man is behind bars after a car chase that stretched from Williamson to Milam County.
Steven Lee Gonzales, 34 of Cameron threatened to kill a family member with a gun. Gonzales fled the scene before officers arrived on the scene around 3:30 a.m. on July 3. The victim was still emotionally upset and said Gonzales threatened to kill her and her family. He also threatened to kill any officer who tried to stop him.
