Eriberto Briceno
Eriberto Briceno was arrested after police seized 100 pounds of marijuana from a truck he was driving.

Deputy Randy Thumman and his K-9 partner, Lobos, searched the F-150 truck after stopping the truck being driven by a former police officer. They discovered numerous hidden compartments and a sealed appliance box. Thumman found the pot hidden in the appliance box.

As deputies searched the driver, who was later identified as Eriberto Briceno, they found an officer nameplate, holster and ammunition. Police say the man was a police officer for two different police agencies in the Rio Grande Valley between 2010 and 2013.

Briceno was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and booked into the Fayette County Justice Center where he was being held in lieu of $100,000 bond.
