Sales tax holiday coming

The annual Texas Sales Tax Holiday weekend begins Aug. 9. Shoppers will be able to save on certain items priced under $100. Eligible items include most clothing, footwear, school supplies and backpacks under $100.
“Texas families can take advantage of the sales tax holiday when doing their back-to-school shopping,†Texas Comptroller Susan Combs said.
