During the president’s push for new gun control
measures, not much has been said about “Fast and Furious,” a
botched ATF operation that saw guns tracked by the agency end up in
the hands of Mexican drug lords, at the
scene of the death of a Border Patrol agent and at
Mexican crime scenes. Apparently, at least one reporter asked
the question at a conference call about gun control measures
proposed by the White House this week. Via

-Was the so-called “Fast and Furious” gun trafficking
scandal a factor in shaping the president’s proposals? “It was
not,” said one official.
