Two arrested in homicide of teen found in Jarrell

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Texas — Two people have been arrested in the homicide case of a teen found dead in Central Texas in November.

The Williamson County’s Sheriff’s Office says they, along with the Dallas Police Department, arrested 26-year-old Darius Lamar Davidson on Dec. 15 in relation to the homicide of 18-year-old Tynesia Brown.

Police say they learned that Davidson destroyed or hid evidence in the case after Brown was shot in his silver Toyota Corolla. Davidson’s roommate also told police that Brown and 20-year-old Tracie Marie Guzman were driving down Interstate 35 with Brown when the girls got into a fight.

Davidson reportedly stopped at a store and when he returned to the car, found that Brown had been shot by Guzman. She and Davidson then dumped Brown’s body along CR370 in Jarrell and placed a plastic bag over her head. The two then drove to Dallas. Guzman was arrested Dec. 19 in her hometown of Birmingham, Alabama by U.S. Marshals.

Davidson is now being held in the Williamson County Jail on a $250,000 bond. Guzman will be brought to Williamson County soon.

The Austin, Dallas and Bedford Police Departments, along with the Tarrant County Sheriff’s office, United States Marshals Office and the Texas Rangers all assisted in the arrests.
