Perot, Cuban fight over parking spots

DALLAS (AP) – Dallas billionaires Mark Cuban and Ross Perot Jr. are quarreling over 200 parking spaces at the American Airlines Center.

A judge Wednesday blocked any holiday parking disruptions until a Jan. 3 court hearing.

Cuban owns the Mavericks. Perot is a former majority owner of the NBA team and still controls some parking at AAC, which is also home to the NHL’s Stars.

The Dallas Morning News reports Cuban’s Center Operating Co. and new Stars owner Tom Gaglardi this week sued Perot’s companies, alleging breach of contract.

A previous deal expired in mid-2011. Center Operating wants a parking agreement through the end of the NBA and NHL seasons.

A Perot attorney says permission to use the parking spaces was withdrawn after Center Operating refused to agree to a short-term lease.
