Round Rock and Express partner in reuse water

American-Statesman – “The Round Rock Express minor league baseball organization is the first non-city of Round Rock user to participate in the program, which uses partially treated wastewater for irrigation purposes and other non-drinking uses.

Round Rock’s reuse system has been around since 1998, when the city ran lines to irrigate the city-owned Forest Creek Golf Club. But Round Rock recently got a $5.8 million expansion, including new treatment, pumping and chlorination capabilities at the Brushy Creek Regional Wastewater Treatment plant and including 9,000 feet of transmission and irrigation lines for watering fields in Old Settlers Park and the Dell Diamond, where the Express play their games.”
