Council tables rec center bids

The Taylor City Council spent more than an hour soaking in some unwelcome news Thursday as trade bids for the recreation center were shared.

The project, originally based on a total budget of $3.64 million, came in at $3.92 million, without a number of suggested alternates that would push the cost up an additional $221,624.
