  • Cody McGrath, 18, of Cedar Park

EARLIER: Police have released the identity of the suspected shooter in custody after four teenagers were wounded during a predawn fight at the Walmart parking lot.

Soloman Onwukaife, 18, is in custody for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, but remains in a nearby hospital with facial wounds.

Police said it appears that a group of individuals met for a fight at Walmart after an argument at a party.

Names of the victims have not been released, but Police Chief Henry Fluck said everyone involved was either 18 or 19 years old.

CEDAR PARK —Four people were shot after a group of people apparently met before sunrise in the Walmart parking lot for a fight, according to a preliminary police investigation.

“That is when at least one person started shooting,” a police news release said.

Cedar Park Police Department responded to the shooting on Walton Way at about 4:30 a.m.

Police apprehended and arrested one shooting suspect at the scene. Several people were transported to hospitals with injuries, and police believe four of them received gunshot wounds, the news release said.

No Walmart employees or customers were injured in this incident. The preliminary investigation leads police to believe that a group of people met in the parking of the Walmart for an altercation and that is when at least one person started shooting. The investigation is still ongoing and more details will be given out later. The names of the people involved are not being released at this time.

A press conference is scheduled this afternoon.
