Four people shot at Cedar Park Walmart, suspect in custody

CEDAR PARK —Four people were shot after a group of people apparently met before sunrise in the Walmart parking lot for a fight, according to a preliminary police investigation.
“That is when at least one person started shooting,” a police news release said.
Cedar Park Police Department responded to the shooting on Walton Way at about 4:30 a.m.
Police apprehended and arrested one shooting suspect at the scene. Several people were transported to hospitals with injuries, and police believe four of them received gunshot wounds, the news release said.Â
No Walmart employees or customers were injured in this incident. The preliminary investigation leads police to believe that a group of people met in the parking of the Walmart for an altercation and that is when at least one person started shooting. The investigation is still ongoing and more details will be given out later. The names of the people involved are not being released at this time.
A press conference is scheduled this afternoon.
