Thrall ISD to install air conditioning in gym

In the midst of this scorching summer, the Thrall ISD Board of
Trustees voted Wednesday to move forward with spending as much as
$90,000 to air condition the district’s gym.

According to Ernie Laurence, superintendent of Thrall ISD, instead
of putting awnings up over the gym windows, which is what the board
voted to do during last month’s meeting as a temporary solution,
the board and the administration decided that it should save that
money (roughly $4,000-$6,000) and put it towards installing an air
conditioning system in the gym.
